Design Concept
The Shu's Pottery continues deep roots in Yingge over four generations, based on the business philosophy of inheriting old wisdom and bringing new ideas, to deliver good and beautiful things, and never forget the root of Yingge, constantly promoting innovation.
In 2024, the Year of the Dragon, the Shu's Pottery and the design team of Cocera once again launched a limited product “Good Preparation of the Dragon Year Osmanthus Umeshu and Cold Sensitive Color-Changing Pair Cups Gift Box” for the Chinese New Year. Special selection of Osmanthus Umeshu brewed by Holy Distillery in Yingge, brings you the elegant flavor of sweet and sour plum combined with floral fragrance.
The wine glass uses Cocera's exclusive cold-changing ceramic cup, which was inspired by the view of the Sanxia and Yingge area. Climbing up to the Bilong Palace, you will see the source of the development of Yingge ceramics – Jianshan Dui. Gradually extending your perspective to the surrounding mountains, you can see the legendary Yuanshan Mountain and Yingge Stone. The three together interweave the scene of two dragons playing with bead. The picture symbolizes the spirit of harmony, unity, and struggle together, and is also the source of the prosperity and development of Yingge.
Manufacturing process of Osmanthus Umeshu
Strictly selected golden osmanthus flowers from Shiding Township in northern Taiwan above 300 meters elevation, which only bloom from October to April every year.
The Umeshu is aged in oak barrels used to be soaked with bourbon whiskey, and it is distilled and brewed with Dongding Oolong tea shochu as the base. The fresh and rich sweet-scented osmanthus, matched with the sweet and sour taste of plums, and combined with the refreshing aroma of oolong tea, finally bring the aroma of oak barrels blended with creamy caramel, the texture is rich in layers, and the flavor is mellow and charming.
Recommended Drinking guidelines
Umeshu : Tonic Water = 1:1, then add ice cubes.
